Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have confirmed that their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be accompanying them on their upcoming tour of Canada.
In a statement released by the palace a spokesperson for the royals said that while the tour will be busy, with more than 30 royal engagements, Kate and William are excited to do this tour as a family-of-four.
“I am very pleased to confirm they will bring their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with them to Canada,” the royal spokesperson said.
“They have received so many wonderful messages from Canadians since the birth of their children and look forward to having the chance to introduce their young family to the country.”
The tour is set to begin on September 24 and expected to last a week with the royals landing in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, and then moving throughout British Columbia and Yukon during their visit.
This trip abroad marks the first official royal tour for Princess Charlotte and according to the itinerary the one-year-old and her big brother George are headed for a lucky child’s birthday party on September 29 in Victoria.
The young royals will also have a play date with a group of children from military families invited especially to Government House to meet them.
This will be Kate and William’s second official tour of Canada, having visited in 2011 shortly after their wedding.
Because it’s Princess Charlotte’s first tour abroad, we’ve decided to celebrate with some adorable pictures of the tiny princess.
The Cambridge’s first tour as a family-of-four confirmed as they plan to set out for Canada in late September.
