Whether it’s sailing-obsessed King Felipe VI of Spain taking his private yacht out for a spin or sporty Kate reclaiming her rowing glory days, it seems there’s always at least one royal sailing the seas.
To prove it, we’ve compiled our favourite royals getting rough on the waves.
Queen Maxim and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands took their boat, The Green Dragon, out on the open seas for a summer’s ride.
The King and Queen also took their daughters, Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, with them.
Sporty Kate is no stranger to commanding the high seas! She gleefully beat out her husband, Prince William, to take the top spot in a recent boating race in New Zealand.
And she did it with no gloating, of course!
Prince William was taught a lesson by his wife, but the Prince was a good sportsman about it!
