The world has wrapped up another year of bunnies and egg hunts for Easter 2022, but royals are still sharing photos from their festivities – including a rare snap of Princess Eugenie’s baby son.

Around the world they rang in the religious holiday and in the United Kingdom, the British royal family attended their annual Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The Queen couldn’t attend the service as she continues to experience mobility issues, but the rest of the royal family were out in force.

Royal watchers had their eyes on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who looked elegant as ever with their two eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte by their side.

Zara and Mike Tindall, accompanied by their eldest daughter Mia, also attended as did Zara’s brother Peter Phillips and his daughters Savannah and Isla Phillips along with Princess Eugenie.

Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex and their children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn were also seen heading to church.

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were absent from the celebrations at St George’s Chapel, but they did stand in place of the Queen at the Royal Maundy Service at St George’s Chapel on Thursday before the Easter weekend.

And the Brits weren’t the only royals celebrating, with the Danish and Monegasque royal families also marking the occasion.

In Monaco, Princess Charlene made her first public appearance since November 2021, surprising royal watchers with a new family photo.

The 44-year-old posted a portrait to Instagram of herself with husband, Prince Albert II and their twins, Princess Gabriella and Jacques Honoré, surrounded by Easter decorations beside a swimming pool.

She captioned the sweet photo, “Happy Easter ❤️” and reposted the portraits on her Instagram stories with a red heart and a picture from inside their Easter service at church.

It was the royal’s first appearance following her lengthy health battle last year, which left her stranded abroad for months before returning to Monaco for private treatment.

Over in Denmark, Queen Margrethe II attended church with her son Crown Prince Frederik and granddaughter Princess Isabella, who was spotted wearing an iconic piece from her mum Crown Princess Mary’s wardrobe.
