Olympic medallist and the Queen’s granddaughter, Zara Phillips has revealed how she regained her fitness after giving birth to her daughter, Mia, earlier this year.

The 33-year-old equestrian star told The Express she dropped her baby weight by pushing her daughter in a buggy for “weight training” runs.

The royal said she rode briefly around five weeks after giving birth.

“I’ve never not ridden for that long and never not been that fit for that long either, so it was hard trying to get each muscle group to… remember what they used to do,” she told the newspaper.

Phillips, who is married to Mike Tindall, recently qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The couple spoke out last month about their daughter Mia, saying they can hopefully pass their love of staying active onto her.

“We have always had sport in our lives and through our childhood. I think that really is important in every child’s life to have that opportunity,” Zara was quoted in The Express.
