The Duchess of Sussex can't seem to escape the drama that follows her past as Meghan Markle.
Her father, Thomas Markle, has once again shared candid details about his daughter, that the British Royal Family would undoubtedly prefer he didn't.
Thomas spoke to The Mail On Sunday about the emotional phone call that followed the staged paparazzi images prior to Meghan's royal wedding to Prince Harry.
Apparently it was far from cordial - with Thomas ultimately hanging up on the groom-to-be.
The former TV lighting director recounted that Harry said, "If you had listened to me this would never have happened."
The 74-year-old was clearly hurt by Harry's comments, telling his son-in-law-to-be, "Maybe it would be better for you guys if I was dead … then you could pretend to be sad."
Thomas explained that he was "upset", saying he believed the timing of the chat was "rude".
"I felt disrespected by them. I was recovering from a heart attack, lying in a bed, having a phone call, and the things were being said that hurt me. I felt like I was being blamed for my mistakes when I was in my hospital bed recovering from a heart attack."
"Then I hung up."
In the end, Meghan's father missed his daughter's big day, with Prince Charles stepping in to walk her down the aisle.
Thomas hasn't spoken to Meghan since the day after the wedding.
The dad-of-three remarked that Harry was "absolutely right" in his initial comments.
"I'm not mad at Harry. I'm not mad at Meghan. I love them. I wish them well," he said. "But as for the rest of it, f--- it. I'm done."
Meghan's father wasn't paid for his interview, and instead will be donating the proceeds to a charity of Meghan and Harry's liking/
Thomas Markle also confirmed he'll be leaving Mexico for a life outside the spotlight.
As for Meghan, who recently celebrated her 37th birthday, she just needs some space in light of everything.
"Royal officials have met and discussed how to deal with him complaining that she has cut him off. They know it is a problem," one insider shared.
"Meghan loves Thomas and does want to maintain a relationship with him in the long run. But at the moment she feels he needs a bit of space. She also wants to take a bit of time out."
"She is adjusting to married life and her new role in the spotlight. Meghan is hopeful that things will get better but it will take time. There is no quick fix."
The news comes as Meghan's mum finally relocates to the UK.
The Express report that Doria Ragland, 61, is moving to London, to be closer to her daughter.
"She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible." "I think this has been coming for a while," Doria's pal shared.
"Even before the wedding she told me how she misses her Megs so much she would do anything to be closer to her, especially now Meghan will be starting a family of her own."
