The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take a babymoon!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken some time out for a family trip to Scotland.

The pair and their one-year-old son Prince George jetted into Aberdeen last week and have taken up residency at Balmoral Castle for some rest and relaxation.

Prince William reportedly wanted to whisk his wife away after a tough few months, after Catherine spent six weeks on bed rest suffering from severe morning sickness.

“William wanted to take Kate away for a break after her [rough past couple of months],” a royal insider told US Weekly.

“They both love the outdoors and the weather isn’t too cold yet, so it’s the perfect time to take a trip.”

The little royal family will have the Queen’s holiday castle all to themselves as the Monarch and her husband Prince Philip only use their residence in the summer.

The Duchess, who is pregnant with her second child, made a stunning return to public life just last week.

The 32-year-old carried out three engagements, including an event with her husband to welcome Singapore president Tony Tan and his wife Mary to the UK.

Now the pair will get some time out from public life as they stay at the 20,000 acre property which has 50 full-time and 50 to 100 part-time staff to maintain the castle.
