The Middleton and the Matthews clans have a lot to celebrate this week, as a new addition joins both of their families.
Spencer Matthews, who is the brother of Pippa Middleton’s husband James, has welcomed a brand new baby girl with his wife Vogue – and going by their announcement, the doting father is in complete awe of his daughter, and his wife.
Sharing an update on Instagram, Spencer shared two images – one with his wife Vogue and another of the pair holding hands in hospital.
He wrote: “Wow, we officially have CHILDREN!!”
“So much has happened in the last three years. Real positive change, a son and now a daughter.”
The Made in Chelsea star continued: “I couldn’t be more thankful to my incredible wife @voguewilliams for all that you do for our family, in particular the laborious pregnancies which us men will never fully understand.”
“Thanks also for making me see the light through my rocky relationship with alcohol. My business, which fills me with so much drive and purpose would never have existed without you…”
He concluded: “I have always dreamt of being a great father and because of you, that is now achievable. Feel lucky [every] day to be married to you.”
While there’s no images or hint of a name for the new baby girl as yet, we’re sure they wont be far away.
When their first child, Theodore, was born in 2018, the pair shared their first pics with UK-based HELLO! magazine about two weeks after his birth.
Perhaps something similar is on the cards this time…?
Spencer and Vogue welcomed their first child, baby Theodore, in September 2018.
(Instagram)The pair announced they were expecting their second child back in March, again, sharing the news with HELLO! magazine.
“We’re delighted. It’s so exciting but kind of scary to think we’re going to have another newborn,” Vogue told the publication at the time.
But the second time around wasn’t the easiest, they revealed – Vogue struggled to fall pregnant following the birth of her son.
The mum-of-one found out she suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome – a condition which can make it difficult to fall pregnant.
“It was certainly a different path for us this time, so it’s really nice to be here and talking about it now,” Vogue explained.
“We just had a few bumps in the road this time around and it just wasn’t as straightforward as it was with Theodore,” she said.
Vogue said falling pregnant for a second time wasn’t the easiest journey.
(Instagram)After welcoming their second child, the pair are undoubtedly thrilled to be a family of four.
And speaking of names, Spencer did hint at some “cool, exotic” options.
“I think you can be fresh, and new and different, but it has got a bit silly in a few cases. So we’ll try and rein it in,” he told HELLO!.
Whatever they choose, we’re sure it’ll be unique. Stay tuned – we’ll be keeping an eye and ear out for the big reveal.
