A thrilling video of Prince Harry flying a spitfire fighter plane has been released.

The young royal, who is currently on tour in Australia, is seen in the backseat of the classic British jet, which were used in World War II. Whooping and yelling, Harry seemed exhilarated as the pilot did a series of loop-de-loops, before inverting the plane (much to the excitement of His Highness) and performing other dramatic stunts. Harry, or ‘Captain Wales’, was allowed to pilot the plane briefly during the flight, showing off his skills as a trained apache helicopter pilot.

The flight was conducted and filmed last August to promote Harry’s ‘Spitfire scholarship’, which offers a trainee scholarship to injured war veterans – a cause Harry is deeply invested in, having hosted in The Invictus Games for wounded troops.

Harry will be conducting a one month tour of duty in Australia – his last before retiring from the Armed Forces after his 10 years of service – which will include special training with the Special Air Service Regiment in Perth.

The Prince will also attend an event at Gallipoli on the 25th of April, to honour the Battle of Gallipoli fought by the ANZACS.
