“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The image features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year. The photograph shows The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their two children at Kensington Palace. It was taken earlier this year by ChrisJacksonGetty,” the caption reads.

“Their Royal Highnesses have also announced this morning that Princess Charlotte will attend the Willcocks Nursery School in London from January 2018. The Willcocks Nursery School has said: “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January.”

While Kate and William are obviously well versed in smiling for photos, and George and Charlotte are sporting the kind of almost-grins that could melt even the coldest of hearts.

But that wasn’t the only new picture the palace shared today. Charles and Camilla’s 2017 Christmas cards were also revealed via the official Royal Family Instagram.

“Here is this year’s official @clarencehouse Christmas card from The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall,” the caption simply states.

“The photograph was taken by @hugoburnand at Highgrove in July during the private 70th Birthday party of The Duchess of Cornwall.”

It’s been quiet a year for royal family portraits.

In July, The royal family released the above portrait of Prince George to celebrate his 4th birthday and though we never play favorites when it comes to royal family portraits… look at that face!

The photograph was taken at Kensington Palace at the end of June by Getty’s main royal shutterbug, Chris Jackson.

“TRH are very pleased to share this lovely picture, and would like to thank everyone for all of the kind messages they have received.”

Romance may not be the first word that comes to mind when you think of the Queen and Prince Philip, but 70 years on they are still the picture of love, loyalty and devotion.

To mark their incredible platinum wedding anniversary, the Royal Family have treated fans to a whopping FOUR brand-new pictures of the adoring couple.

Christmas well and truly come early this year.

A fitting image for a couple who have spent years quietly supporting one another.
