Queen photobombs selfie

Queen Elizabeth has reportedly expressed her dislike for people using mobile phones to capture a shot of her when she is out in public.

Her Majesty, who recently made headlines when she photobombed a selfie taken by some Aussie athletes at the Commonwealth Games, apparently finds it “strange”, says US ambassador Matthew Barzun.

In an interview with Tatler magazine, he said the Queen misses eye contact and finds being greeted by a sea of mobile phones “disconcerting”.

The Queen might not like the new trend of selfies but the younger royals appear to have taken it in their stride.

Peering over Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris’ shoulders, Her Majesty puts on a big smile and joins in the picture to create one sovereign selfie.
