The Queen and her late father shared a close relationship and he was said to have called Elizabeth his “pride” whilst younger daughter Princess Margaret was his “joy”.

King George VI was also the one who coined her unique nickname Lilibet as when she was a child the Queen couldn’t pronounce Elizabeth.

The young royal referred to herself as “Tillabet” then “Lisabet” or “Lilliebeth” before her father began calling her “Lilibet,” which her family members still refer to her as.

The Cambridges shared this throwback from Christmas.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also rang in the holiday by sharing a never-before-seen snap taken in Jordan last year. It was the same location that their 2021 Christmas card photo was taken as well.

In the photo, Prince Louis is placed on Prince William’s shoulders with his hands around his face, while Prince George and Princess Charlotte laugh beside them.

“Wishing a Happy Father’s Day to fathers and grandfathers across the world today!” shared the Cambridges in their caption accompanying the adorable picture.

“This is such a lovely photo! Happy Father’s Day 🤍,” reacted a fan. “The pure joy on these faces! 😍 Happy Father’s Day!” penned another.
