Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are preparing for a milestone bigger than they’ve ever encountered – but just before they do, there’s something else to celebrate.

Over the weekend the couple marked three years since they announced their engagement, and to take stock of how far they’d come since, Princess Eugenie shared a beautiful Instagram post for her now-husband.

Eugenie posted a touching never-before-seen outtake snap from the day of their official engagement shoot. The couple look bright-eyed and excited, ready for a new chapter.

In the caption, the Princess wrote: “This time 3 years ago.. flashback to such a happy moment when Jack and I announced our engagement… xx.”

Eugenie’s followers flocked to the image to share their well wishes with the couple.

“How time flies,” one mused, before adding: “Exciting times ahead for you both as you become parents. Sending much love and admiration to you both.”

“So cute, beautiful couple,” another simply said.

The couple have quite the fan following these days.

The couple have certainly come a long way in three years.

After marrying at St George’s Chapel, Windsor back in October 2018, Eugenie and Jack have made several official royal appearances together, as well as continuing their own lines of work in the background.

Then, in September 2020, the pair announced they were expecting their first child.

“Jack and I are so excited for early 2021….,” Eugenie wrote.

It is understood Eugenie’s due date falls around mid-February, which means we’re all on high alert for a royal baby announcement in the coming weeks.

It’s not yet known where Eugenie will give birth, though late last year, she and Jack reportedly moved into Frogmore Cottage, the home of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan in Windsor.

Known for its privacy and peacefulness away from the hustle-bustle of London, the couple are no doubt keen to keep things as low key as possible as they settle into their new life as parents.

And regardless of where they are, there’s no denying these two are readier than ever for this new chapter.
