Princess Beatrice and her brand new fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have stepped out in public for the first time since announcing their engagement last week.

The happy couple walked hand-in-hand as they attended the launch of a new fashion book, The Dior Sessions, in London.

The pair were papped outside the event, with Beatrice, 31, wearing a gorgeous $3000 sparkly emerald green dress by fashion label The Vampire’s Wife, while Edoardo, 36, looked handsome in a simple black suit.

In fact, Princess Beatrice wore the same frock to her famous friend Ellie Goulding’s wedding that she attended along with her mother Sarah Ferguson and sister Princess Beatrice in August.

It’s believed Beatrice and Edoardo began dating in mid-late 2018, having struck up a relationship around September, just in time for younger sister Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding in October.

It is also understood Beatrice met Edoardo via a mutual friend, and the pair reportedly “hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together”.

These two were clearly the real deal from the get-go. Edoardo was introduced to Beatrice’s parents Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew quite quickly, and the pair enjoyed a private holiday within the first few months of becoming official.

And just last week, the Palace revealed the pair will tie the knot in 2020.

In an official statement, the Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness of York to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.”
