It would appear that soon after Princess Charlotte found her feet, she also found a soccer ball!

The Duke of Cambridge revealed his daughter’s secret skill during an engagement at the National Football Museum in Manchester with his wife Duchess Catherine.

Opening up about 17-month-old Charlotte and her three-year-old brother Prince George, Wills quipped: “Charlotte is the one who shows more aptitude [for football].”

“George is sort of getting into it slowly, but Charlotte is showing more aptitude,” he revealed to the England women’s team captain, Steph Houghton, and her teammate Jill Scott, adding: “They’re great.”

The kids love to run around in their Anmer Hall home!

Soccer star Charlotte would have sure been jealous of her parents, who were given a tour of the museum and its incredible displays, which included the 1966 World Cup trophy.

The father-of-two, clearly awestruck at the sight of such a coveted item, declined holding the trinket as he didn’t want to “jinx it.”

The couple also had the chance to participate in a penalty shoot-out, and while the dapper Prince scored on his second attempt, his wife politely passed due to her choice of shoe.

“Oh yes, the heels,” Will teased.

Bend it like Wills?

The couple colour co-ordinated in matching navy hues – Kate in an Erdem coat and skirt.

Wills and Kate, both 34, then met with retired football legend, Roger Hunt, who asked the future King if he still played “the people’s game.”

“I play a little bit,” he said, adding: “At school and university mostly. Rugby I’ve stopped, too many injuries. I do a bit of swimming as well.”

“We do quite a bit of running around after our kiddies!” Kate added.

The action-packed day of engagements didn’t end there; as the royals went on to carry out three more appearances.

After a quick trip to Manchester Town Hall, where they lay a wreath honouring six Victoria Cross recipients as part of the First World War Centenary campaign, the parents stopped by The National Graphene Institute at The University of Manchester.

Here, they helped to seal a time capsule in between viewing the new Manchester Engineering Campus Development.

And before heading home to their two little ones, the Duke and Duchess visited Francis House, a hospice that cares for children and young people, and was first opened in 1991 by William’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The couple returned to reality with a moment of honour.
