Prince William and Kate Middleton visit Women’s Weekly at the Easter Show

It was a very special day for The Weekly with a royal visit to our Kitchen Stage at The Easter Show.
The Duchess of Cambridge at the Royal Easter Show.

Food Director Fran Abdallaoui was giving a demo of our delicious sticky sesame chicken wings when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked through the Dome this morning, part of their visit to the Show swelled with record crowds all hoping to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.

The crowd watching our food display turned to watch the Duchess walk past.

Dressed in a stunning lace Zimmermann dress, the Duchess’s first outing in an Australian designer, Kate walked past screens showing our current cover with Prince George gazing back at her.

Prince William was captivated by the display of enormous locally grown vegetables, the best produce in Sydney, before the couple greeted the public and headed out to unveil a plaque for the opening of the South Badgery Pavilion.

The couple were planning a private lunch before a visit to children’s hospice Bear Cottage this afternoon, and a trip to Manly Beach.
