After weeks of back and forth, it seems the Prince and Princess of Wales have allowed all three of their children to attend their grandpa’s coronation – even “royal rascal” Prince Louis.

William and Kate are said to be “a little nervous” about their rambunctious youngest, who will be five by King Charles III’s May 6 ceremony, after he stole the show at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert last year with his raspberry-blowing antics.

“The only person who could calm him down that day was Charles – and he’ll be too busy for baby-whispering duties,” says a palace insider.

“Kate and Wills have been working with him on using his ‘inside voice’ for the ceremony, and teaching him to do the alphabet in his head when he’s bored. Kate’s little helper Princess Charlotte is going to be armed with discreet snacks like raisins and drink pouches.”

While Charles himself was just four when he appeared at the late Queen’s coronation, his younger sister Anne, who was only two at the time, wasn’t there – meaning Louis, Prince George, nine, and seven-year-old Charlotte’s attendances are somewhat unprecedented.

“It’s going to be a lot, particularly for George, who knows that one day it’ll be him up there,” says the source. “Kate and Wills are trying to keep it light-hearted and are getting them excited for the carriage rides.”

At the time of going to press, it was reported that the Wales children’s cousins, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, had not yet joined their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on the exclusive invite list.

“Meghan is livid about that,” says the insider.

“She argues that her kids are just as important as Kate’s trio, and wants them in the carriage procession as well – never mind that Archie only turns four the same day, and Lili’s not yet two.”
