Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex are returning to the UK but don’t appear to have any plans to reunite with their royal relations, including the Queen or the Cambridges.

The couple, who quit their roles as senior royals in 2020, will be travelling to the UK and Germany in September to attend a series of public events.

A spokesperson confirmed they will visit Manchester for the One Young World Summit on September 5, as Meghan previously served as a counsellor for the summits.

The Mirror reports the Sussexes will then head to Germany to attend the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 “One Year to Go” event, an occasion close to Harry’s heart.

Finally, they will return to the UK for a second appearance at the WellChild Awards on September 8 to wrap up their trip.

It will mark the first time the couple have returned to the UK since their brief visit for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, but royal watchers aren’t expecting another royal reunion this time around.

Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson said nothing of any plans to meet up with other members of the royal family and there don’t appear to be any other royal names on the guest lists for any of the events the couple will be attending.

If there is any sort of reunion between the Sussexes and other key royals, such as the Queen, Prince William, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge or Prince Charles, it’s likely to be kept private.

Harry and Meghan brought their two children, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK with them in June for what was their daughter’s first visit to the country.

They also introduced her to her namesake, the Queen, for the very first time but kept the details of the meeting and other private royal family time strictly private.

While there are ongoing rumours of “tension” between Harry, his wife and his extended family, this may also be a case of the couple wanting to keep their personal lives out of the press.

Since moving to the US in 2020 for a more “private” existence, the pair have gone to great lengths to keep their children out of the spotlight.

They’ve also been selective about what public events they choose to attend and have remained absent from social media for more than two years.

With that in mind, the Sussexes are likely to keep any plans for a royal family reunion to themselves in the leadup to their next return trip to the UK.
