It was only a few months ago when Duchess Meghan politely turned down a photo with a fan because royal family members are “not allowed to do selfies.”

But on Tuesday during Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s meet-and-greet with thousands of well-wishers at the Sydney Opera House, the couple threw out the royal rule book for a very special exception.

When Prince Harry crossed paths with nine-year-old Sethunya Gibbons, he was blown away by her feminist-slogan T-shirt which read: “Girls can do anything!”

“How long have you had that T-shirt for?” the prince asked, to which Sethunya responded, “Four weeks.”

Knowing that Meghan, who is a passionate woman’s advocate, would appreciate the top, he asked the fan: “Do you want to meet my wife?”

Harry was blown away by Sethunya Gibbons’s feminist-slogan T-shirt.

So much so, he summoned over his wife Meghan to meet the little girl.

In a touching video of the encounter uploaded to Instagram, which you can watch in the player at the top, Harry can be seen summoning over Duchess Meghan and introducing the pair.

But it’s what happened next that was truly remarkable.

“We feel she looks a bit like you when you were younger,” Sethunya’s grandmother told the Duchess.

“I was literally about to say the same thing,” an awe-struck Meghan, who announced her pregnancy at the start of the week, replied.

Before adding: “‘I love your shirt!”

Harry’s hand pushing Meghan in closer to Sethunya for the photo, bless!

In an unprecedented move, Prince Harry then asks the little girl: “Do you want me to take a picture of you two together?”

Megs and her adorable mini-me then cuddle up for a photo, snapped by none other than the Duke of Sussex.

Yep, that photo is going straight to the pool room.

The end result, what an incredible photo! (Images: Instagram)

Since touching down in Sydney on Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have enjoyed back-to-back engagements in Sydney, Dubbo and Melbourne.

Charming locals where ever they go, yesterday saw another heartwarming moment play out after five-year-old Dubbo school boy Luke Vincent shared a special hug with the couple.

Luke’s “favourite person in the world is Father Christmas” so it was no surprise that he loved Harry’s beard, which he stroked with glee.

If anything this Australia tour has proven, apart from how madly in love Meghan and Harry are, is that they are going to make incredible parents.
