It’s official! Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have finally landed in Sydney as they prepare to embark on their exhaustive royal tour of Australia and the Pacific.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who married in May, arrived via a Qantas flight from London at Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport just before 6am on Monday morning.

A heavy police guard was seen at the airport as the royal couple disembarked from their flight.

Despite the long-haul flight, the couple looked fresh-faced and in good spirits as they made their way through the airport.

Meghan looked effortlessly chic in a stylish black overcoat with a purple trim as she clung to two large binders, no doubt full of information so she can study up for the tour.

Meanwhile Harry kept it casual in a grey jumper.

Fresh from their Saturday appearance at Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank, it’s believed Harry and Meghan began the 24-hour commute immediately after the celebrations.

Welcome, Duchess Meghan!

This marks Meghan’s first-ever trip to Australia and as those folders reveal, she’s clearly been doing her homework.

The royal couple will spend their first day in Australia privately at Admiralty House, the residence of the Governor-General of Australia in Kirribilli, before their official duties kick off on Tuesday.

It’s set to be an incredibly busy two weeks for Meghan and Harry as they embark on 76 engagements in Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Tonga.

This trip marks Meghan and Harry’s first major overseas tour as a married couple and it will also coincide with the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney.

Today, the royal couple will enjoy a private day off before they kick off their official duties tomorrow.

They will also be supported by a ten-person team, made up of personal assistants, a communications team, a digital officer and a programme coordinator.

Fresh reports also reveal Meghan’s best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney has been invited on the tour in an “unofficial” role.
