A royal reception: Prince Harry knighted by Queen

The People's Prince has been appointed with one of the most prestigious of honours - a knightship - from the Queen.
Prince Harry was appointed to a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order by his grandmother today, and what a reception it would have been.
"The Queen has been pleased to make the following appointment to the Royal Victorian Order," read an official statement.
"To be a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO), HRH Prince Henry of Wales."
The Prince has recently retired from his services in the army with his one month detachment with the Australian Armed Defence Force seen as the finale.
We're sure the 30-year-old would be enjoying some quality time with his family after his trip to Australia and following New Zealand tour.
The red-headed royal only saw his niece, Princess Charlotte, weeks after her birth. Ironically, the Prince was attending an AFL game in Perth while the Duchess of Cambridge was in labour.
Here we look back at some of our favourite pictures of Prince Harry.
