Prince Harry just said the sweetest thing about Princess Diana

His mum would be so proud.

Princess Diana’s untimely death is a tragedy that’s still difficult to fathom almost two decades after the fatal car accident in Paris.

Diana left behind her two sons, Princes William and Harry, the latter of whom has opened up about losing his mum to People magazine.

Harry’s been busy promoting the upcoming Invictus Games, a sporting competition for war and military veterans he founded in 2014, and admitted that as much as he knows of Diana’s life, he sadly has very few personal memories of her – he was only 12 when she passed away.

“I don’t have that many memories of my childhood with my Mum,” he told the magazine.

But he says that he knows he has a lot in common with her.

“I know I’ve got a lot of my mother in me. I am doing a lot of things that she would probably do.

“When she died, there was a gaping hole, not just for us but also for a huge amount of people across the world,” he said. “If I can try and fill a very small part of that, then job done.

“I will have to, in a good way, spend the rest of my life trying to fill that void as much as possible. And so will William.

“All I want to do is make my mother incredibly proud. That’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.”

We have no doubt she would be. No, we’re not crying! Just chopping onions, obviously.
