Just when we composed ourselves about Prince Harry’s impending trip to Australia next month, our hearts are racing yet again with claims the 32-year-old is making preparations to propose to his girlfriend, Megahn Markle.

As the royal is fifth in line to the British throne, law dictates he must get his grandmother’s seal of approval before he asks for the actress’ hand in marriage.

And according to Star magazine, forward-thinking Harry has already done just that.

“The way it’s going, the engagement will probably happen this year. Harry has got approval from the Queen to propose to Meghan, he’s already had those conversations with Her Majesty. An engagement is imminent,” an insider explained to the publication.

“Harry has always had a good relationship with the Queen and they are an extremely close-knit family,” they added.

Prince Harry has reportedly received the green light from Queen Elizabeth to propose to Meghan.

Meanwhile, royal watchers have noted the fact the Suits star landed a last minute invite to Pippa Middleton‘s upcoming wedding, despite her “no ring, no bring” policy, signals yet another sign Prince Harry could soon become a married man.

While we await an official announcement from Kensington Palace, many punters have put their money on an October proposal when the couple will reportedly jet to Africa for a romantic getaway.

Africa holds a special place in the former military man’s heart and it served as the perfect escape from the spotlight in the years after Princess Diana’s death.

The couple are set to make another public outing at Pippa Middleton’s wedding this weekend.

“My love of Africa has never been any secret, it’s just been a huge part of my private life,” Harry has previously said.

“I’ve always wanted to keep it like that until I had the experience of age to give something back to a place that has given me, and so many others, the freedom and space we all crave. This continent has given me thousands of happy memories since 1997. For that I’m indebted to it.”

Let’s not forget Prince William proposed to Duchess Catherine in Kenya in October, 2010. Could history repeat itself? Watch this space!
