The British Royal Family have kicked off the festive season with a big family lunch at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen's mixer marks the annual start of the Windsor holiday season.
Catherine looked appropriately jolly in her red dress, while William was unable to make it due to work commitments as a pilot for the East Anglian Ambulance.
Though George would have been missing dad, his focus probably would have been what was under the Christmas tree.
The proud father recently told The Big Issue that his eldest is bursting with excitement about the prospect of all the presents.
"George will be bouncing around like a rabbit. If I get any sleep in Christmas Eve it will be good," William joked.
While Princess Charlotte wasn't seen at the event, nanny Maria Borrallo was snapped arriving in a different car, with speculation the youngest royal could have travelled with her.
George’s favourite playmate Mia Tindall also attended the festive bash. along for the ride to cause chaos with him! The one-year-old looked all tuckered out in the back seat as she left with parents Mike and Zara Tindall.
Also spotted at the royal family's Christmas do was Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, Princess Eugenie and Princess Anne.
Queen Elizabeth's annual pre-Christmas lunch in London's Buckingham Palace allows her to catch up with her relations. The festivities will continue on Christmas day at her Sandringham estate in Norfolk, with a smaller gathering for lunch following the morning church service.
