It’s not often that royal fans are treated to new photos of the Cambridge children, but this weekend we were given a peek at how quickly Prince George is growing up.
The eight-year-old royal joined his parents for a rare public outing as they headed to the Six Nations rugby match at Twickenham Stadium.
Dressed in smart trousers, a blue collared shirt and a charming little red and navy coat from Polo Ralph Lauren, the one-day King looked delightful as he arrived at the match.

(Credit: (Image: Getty))Whilst Prince William was dressed in a classic jumper and coat, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge opted for a houndstooth blazer.
Royal watchers were quick to point out that her chic outfit looked almost identical to one the late Princess Diana wore when she attended a rugby match in Wales in 1995.
As well as her strikingly similar blazer, which goes for $1,114 from luxury British label Holland Cooper, Catherine also wore a black turtle-neck sweater and minimal jewellery like the Princess of Wales almost 30 years ago.
Of course, her elegant style didn’t distract onlookers for long, their attention quickly returning to Prince George.
A huge sports fan, the young royal could be seen cheering and laughing as the match between England and Wales got underway on Saturday.
Photos from the event show him looking concerned as Wales scored, his grin returning when England secured the win with 23 points to 19.

(Credit: (Image: Getty))Photographers also caught several sweet interactions between the prince and his parents, including the moment George poked his tongue out while William and Catherine smiled on either side of him.
Several pictures from the match also show the duchess crouching down to laugh and chat with her son, showing off the touching bond between them.
George has been attending more public events of late, often joining his parents for sporting engagements as he slowly becomes a more public member of the royal family.

(Credit: (Image: Getty))While it’s unlikely he will be transitioning into serious royal duties any time soon, his more frequent appearances hint at a shift within the monarchy to include the younger generation of royals.
This was also Catherine’s first official outing as patron of the Rugby Football Union, a role she took over from Prince Harry following his royal exit in 2020.
Prince William, meanwhile, has been patron of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2016.
