Duchess of Cambridge reveals: Prince George is obsessed with pigeons!

Despite having all the wonders of the world at his fingertips on a recent trip to the museum, the future King just wanted to play outside with the birds.

They’re often derided as “rats with wings”, but the humble pigeon can now count the future King of England among its biggest fans.

While visiting children’s charity Chance UK yesterday, Prince George’s mum, The Duchess of Cambridge, sheepishly admitted that her two-year-old is fixated on the birds.

Kate, 33, revealed that she’d taken her son to London’s Natural History Museum, hoping to show him the diplodocus dinosaur skeleton display.

However, the rambunctious Prince was far more interested in what was happening outside on the footpath.

The Duchess leaving a royal engagement at Chance UK in London yesterday.

“She was saying George was more interested in a pigeon they found there rather than all the exhibits,” says Londoner Claire Butler, who mentors children at Chance UK.

But it’s not just pigeons that get the royal toddler tick of approval.

Duchess Catherine says her eldest child, who is third in line to the throne, also has a fascination with insects.

“She said George’s favourite was the ladybird,” says Elizabeth Little.

Witnesses at the museum – of which Kate is a royal patron – say the Duchess and her son looked like any other mum and child on a fun day out together.

“She was holding George’s hand, showing him around and talking to one of the people who worked there,” says an onlooker. “George looked so cute and little. His hair is so nice!”

George’s golden locks are setting hearts aflutter wherever he goes.
