Prince George — peppa pig enthusiast, pizza and pasta aficionado and future King of England — is adding another impressive notch to his belt.
The little prince, who will turn five in July, is learning how to horse ride and has been taking lessons at Windsor.
Speaking with Hello! Magazine, an royal insider explained that the pint-sized prince has been practising on a Shetland pony that belongs to his father Prince William’s cousin, Zara Tindall.
Of course, Zara herself is an avid horse rider who has competed in the Olympics for equestrian.

Zara, who has competed in the Olympics for equestrian, has lent the young prince a Shetland pony for his lessons.
“William and Kate were really keen to get George riding – it’s something all the royals do and the whole family adore animals. But obviously he’s only small so they didn’t want to put him on a big horse,” the source explained. “They asked Zara if they could use one of her Shetland ponies and he’s been learning to ride on one of those.”
The royal family has a well-documented love affair with all-things equestrian — particularly Queen Elizabeth.
Her Majesty — George’s Gan Gan! — has always enjoyed horses, both riding them and watching them race. She, like George, took the reins early in life having received her first horse — a Shetland Pony called Peggy — at the tender age of four from her grandfather, King George V.
Now, still to this day, the 92-year-old monarch continues to enjoy the occasional ride herself. She’s often pictured out for a fairweather trot dressed in jodhpurs, riding boots and a headscarf in place of a hard hat.
The Queen is a passionate horse rider and received her first pony at the age of four.

Princess Charlotte, too, has a deep love of horse riding.
Duchess Catherine previously revealed that her daughter was quick to show an interest in the hobby-come-sport.
The mother-of-three made the revelation while speaking to equestrian triple-gold medallist Natasha Baker at a meet and greet with Olympic and Paralympic competitors back in 2016.
“I asked her how the children were and she said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding which is great to hear and I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time,” Natasha said.
“She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses, and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it.”
With this much history (and talent!) running through the bloodstream, there’s no doubt there’s a bright future ahead for both George and Charlotte!
