With a New Year comes a fresh calendar and 365 glorious more days of our favourite sport, royal watching!

And between the third Cambridge baby, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May wedding and Zara and Mike Tindall’s second child, 2018 is already shaping up to be one hell of a ride for our beloved British blue-bloods.

And while there’s so many exciting events already locked in for the next 12 months, here at Now to Love this resident royal freak/self-styled aristocratic astrologer has a few predictions of her own.

Looking into my crystal ball, I see a mini Prince Harry, another royal wedding and an even more historic changing over of duties.

So sit back, grab your cuppa and enjoy our royal wish list for the year ahead…

1. Meghan Markle will be pregnant with her first baby by the end of the year

This would be the cherry on top of an already stellar year for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and it doesn’t take a fortune teller to call this one.

The clucky couple have already revealed they’d love to start a family “in the near future” and we reckon they’ll waste no time making their wish come true shortly after saying “I do” in May.

Insiders recently told Woman’s Day the 36-year-old actress has already enlisted the help of nutritionist and fertility specialist Melanie Brown to help whip her and Harry into tiptop shape to fall pregnant asap.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 100% have babies on the brain!

“Melanie was at Nottingham Cottage for around an hour checking Meghan’s vitals, looking into her health history and taking as much information as possible to devise a specialist diet for both her and Harry to stick to,” a palace source recently told Woman’s Day exclusively.

“While Meghan’s hoping she won’t have problems conceiving when they start trying for a family, she’s also aware she’ll be almost 37 by the time she does,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Harry is a complete and utter softie around kids and has spoken openly about being ready to become a dad. “I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young,” the 33-year-old has said.

Harry and Meghan both adore kids and would love to start a family in the “near future.”

2. Harry, Meghan (and her baby bump!) will come to Oz as the couple work on their own humanitarian projects together, sans Wills and Kate

They made their sparkling debut as a couple at last year’s event.

And with the 2018 Invictus Games kicking off in Sydney just five months after their wedding, Harry could bring Meghan Down Under to enjoy the sporting extravaganza in all its glory and sneak in a little extended honeymoon.

Australia holds a special place in the royal’s heart after he spent his 2003 gap year in the outback and in 2015, his charm offensive wooed the nation yet again as he embarked on a month-long secondment with the Australian Defence Force.

Just last year, Harry jetted to Sydney for a whirlwind trip to launch the Invictus Games Down Under and we have no doubt he’d love to bring his wife back and show her the magic of our country.

We’ll also see the power couple branch out as a duo and focus on issues impacting the youth of the Commonwealth.

Come on Harry, bring Meghan to Australia in October! You know you want to.

3. Princess Eugenie will be the next royal to announce her engagement

Given all the attention Prince Charles’ sons get, it’s easy to forget there’s other royal love stories playing out! And the next royal wedding announcement has to be from Princess Eugenie, 27, and her boyfriend of six years Jack Brooksbank, 29.

Wedding rumours swirled in 2016 after the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York was pictured with a ring on her wedding finger and it’s been reported the long-term lovers have made a “wedding pact” to get married soon.

Imagine getting two royal weddings in one year…

Is Jack Brooksbank about to ask Princess Eugenie to marry him?

4. Duchess Catherine and Prince William will have another daughter

Call it a hunch, or the fact the bookies are certain, but our money is on Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s third child being a girl called Alice.

If there’s one thing we know for sure is that Wills and Kate will most definitely opt for a classic choice, drenched in history.

Their first-born son’s full-name name is Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, a nod to the Kings that came before him. While their daughter is Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, in honour of The Queen and her late grandmother Princess Diana.

The Cambridge clan are set to welcome their newest family member in April.

So far, the bookies firm favourite for a girl is tied between Alice and Victoria at $15 – both regal-sounding names with long-standing royal ties.

Alice was also a front-runner during the countdown to Princess Charlotte’s birth in 2015.

It was the name of one of Queen Victoria’s daughter and Prince Philip’s mother.

5. Pippa Middleton will have a baby

She might not be an official blue-blood player but Pippa Middleton is definitely an unofficial royal and her first pregnancy will still be huge news.

We predict Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews will announce their happy news in the coming months.

We have no doubt Duchess Catherine will make the best aunt and George and Charlotte would love to welcome another cousin into the fold.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews tied the knot in May last year.

6. Charles will take over even more of The Queen’s duties

On April 21st this year, The Queen will celebrate her 92nd birthday.

If you ask us, there’s no one more deserving than the monarch to put the foot on the brakes with her gruelling royal duties and to spend more time with her retired husband, Prince Philip.

And the wheels are already in motion with Her Majesty handing over several important roles to her first-born son, Prince Charles.

We reckon 2018 will mark Prince Charles taking over even more duties from his mother, The Queen.

In November last year, The Queen took a back seat and gave the future King of England the green light to be the main royal representative for Remembrance Sunday.

The subtle changing over of the duties marks a significant chapter in the royal family as it signals Prince Charles’ grooming for the top job of King as his mother enters her mid-90s, and it’s going to be a sign of things to come in 2018.
