Fit for a Queen: Pippa Middleton’s wedding menu revealed

It seems the wedding of the year also doubled as a culinary experience for those lucky invitees.

If we weren’t already envious of those fortunate 350 guests who scored an invite to Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews, we certainly are now.

We know the happy couple pulled out all the stops when it came to their choice of venue, attire and even bonbonniere favours, and their supper menu proved no different.

Once the couple said their ‘I dos’, Hello! magazine reveals they and those on hand to celebrate at the beautifully-decorated glass marquee in the Middleton estate gardens sat down to a three-course banquet outlined for them on a personalised card adorned with the words ‘Pippa & James, Saturday 20th May, 2017, Bucklebury’.

Duchess Catherine was on hand to make sure her sister’s day ran smoothly.

After a starter of Berkshire Mayfly Trout, served with marinated cucumber, confit tomatoes, horseradish cream and sauce vierge, guests enjoyed sumptuous Herdwick lamb, served with lamb shoulder tortellini, eggplant puree, Yorkshire asparagus and black olive jus.

Their something sweet took shape as a Glen Affric cranachan cheesecake, complemented by a Highland whiskey honey.

And as Pippa and James enjoy a well-deserved honeymoon – starting with a luxurious escape to Tetiaroa in French Polynesia – new details have emerged of little Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s nuptial outfits.

For their Auntie’s big day, the adorable siblings were dressed in custom made Pepa & Company, reveals People.

“Our designs were intended to blend in with the lovely setting for this quintessentially English and traditional wedding,” founder and designer Pepa Gonzalez tells the publication.

“The beautiful colours Pippa had carefully chosen for her wedding were so important to us when designing those pieces. Her style is very elegant and discreet but she never goes unnoticed.”

It’s only a matter of time before Charlotte’s dress sells out!

Those hoping to recreate their looks will be pleased to discover that both the girl’s and boy’s looks are available for purchase on the retailer’s site.

The complete girl’s look made up of a sweet dress, tights, cardigan, shoes and hat can be bought for an eye-watering $793.50.

Slightly less expensive at $744,95 is George’s look, which comes complete with a shirt, cardigan, silk waistband, knickerbockers, tights and shoes.

Expensive, yes, but like any good flower girl or pageboy outfit, they’ll surely wear them again! Then again, perhaps not.

Little George is undoubtedly the cutest pageboy we’ve ever seen.
