Mike Tindall is known for his refreshingly casual approach when it comes to all things high society, and his latest move is case in point.

Following in the footsteps of only a select few royals, Zara Tindall’s husband has opened his own personal Instagram account, and it’s every bit as candid as you’d expect from the humorous dad-of-two.

Mike shared his first photo in September, sharing a series of pictures from a London venue where he helped host a live show for the rugby.

“Great first live show for @rugby joe thanks for everyone who came along. Awesome fun!!”, Tindall penned alongside the pics, which included two selfies.

Suffice to say he was off to a great start on social media!

Mike has clearly nailed the art of a selfie.

Mike later shared several unseen pics of his wife Zara after the pair went clay shooting with some pals.

Explaining the couple’s day out, Mike wrote: “Great day clay shooting for @tusk_org supported by @landrover_uk. Finished up 3rd but it was a lot of fun!!”

Mike shared a photo of himself and Zara attending a charity clay shooting event.

Mike’s legion of pals have also come to light via the glorious new account, with the former rugby star sharing candid selfies with his followers.

Actor James Nesbitt is among them, with Tindall sharing a smiley selfie with the British actor alongside the caption: “Always good to catch up with this little beauty!! Not great playing ahead of him though!! Dangerous #fore”.

James Nebitt also features on the royal’s Instagram account.

Mike currently follows just over 100 people, surprisingly none of them are official royal Instagram accounts.

That being said, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan also don’t usually follow royal-related pages, instead choosing specific charities to shine a light on their work.

And when it comes to personal Instagram accounts, Mike isn’t the first royal family member to share candid unofficial pics with the world.

Princess Eugenie is also well known for her colourful and quirky Instagram account, which she uses to post golden little insights and throwbacks from her life as a royal.

So with Mike now joining the throng of royals now taking to the popular social media platform, we’ll just be revelling in some more brilliant insights into royal life.

And here’s hoping we get some more cute pics of his adorable two daughters, Mia and Lena!
