Memorial garden to be set up in Diana’s memory by her sons

It’s hard to believe that next year will mark 20 years since Princess Diana’s untimely death and now her two treasured sons are already getting to work on marking the milestone.

The palace have confirmed a memorial garden will be erected at Kensington Palace to honour the bright spark of the 36-year-old, who tragically died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

Looking after the sentimental project will be the reputable company, Historic Royal Palaces.

“Our plans are still at the earliest stages of development, and we’re recruiting for staff to help us explore the possibilities,” a spokesperson for the Historic Royal Palaces explained.

Meanwhile a palace insider confirmed Prince William, 33, and Prince Harry, 31, will be consulted through every step of the process.

“No tribute to Princess Diana would be given the go-ahead without the princes’ approval,” the source said.

Doing her proud! The princes will be consulted throughout the entire process of setting up the memorial garden.

Indeed, just last week Harry revealed his mother is never far from his mind and that he hopes she is proud of the man he’s become.

“I hope she’s looking down, you know, with tears in her eyes, being incredibly proud of what we’ve established, I suppose,” he said during a candid interview on Good Morning America.

“I’m sure she’s longing for me to have kids so she can be a grandmother again. I hope that everything we do privately and officially, that it makes her proud. I think losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life massively,” he poignantly aged.
