Baby Sussex’s hotly-anticipated arrival is right around the corner.

And now we can officially be on Royal Baby Watch with reports Duchess Meghan has finished all of her public royal engagements and commenced maternity leave.

According to Vanity Fair, the 37-year-old, who is eight months pregnant, completed her final outing this week when she attended the Commonwealth Day celebrations at Canada House and Westminster Abbey alongside The Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess Catherine, Prince William and Prince Harry.

However Meghan will reportedly “continue to take private meetings” and has wasted no time doing just that.

On Tuesday, March 12th as part of her role as the Patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Meghan met with Chief Executive and Secretary General of the ACU, Dr Joanna Newman.

Meghan and Harry are also preparing to relocate from Kensington Palace in London to the more secluded Frogmore Cottage in Windsor and will be using this time to set up their new country estate.

No doubt these next few weeks will be a sacred time for the soon-to-be mother following a whirlwind year.

From her A-list baby shower in New York to her whirlwind tour of Morocco, Duchess Meghan has been unstoppable.

With Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the Duchess of Cambridge commenced her maternity leave about a month out from her due date.

Last year, Duchess Catherine’s final appearance was on April 1st where she joined the Royal Family for the annual Easter church service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. She welcomed Prince Louis later that month on April 23rd.

Kate returned from maternity leave six months after Louis was born in October, making a solo visit to London’s Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden.
