Kensington Royal wrote: “The Duchess of Sussex supports ‘Together’, a community kitchen cookbook.”

“The Duchess of Sussex is supporting a new charity cookbook, which celebrates the power of cooking to bring people together. ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook’ showcases over 50 recipes from women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire,” it continued.

The Instagram post alone has received more than 130,000 likes, with a multitude of supportive comments from fans.

“Truly inspiring and heartwarming,” one wrote.

Another commented: “This is a beautiful initiative and amazing story behind a terrible moment in their lives. It’s amazing how the new monarchy is helping people, doing good and use the many tools they have to create opportunities to others! Good for you Meghan 💖”

Fans have shared messages of support for the new charity book.

The Duchess is a known foodie, often sharing her favourite recipes on her former blog, The Tig. The blog’s name actually stemmed from her favorite kind of wine and “a word she uses to describe moments when something really clicks into place for her,” according to Bustle.

The blog, which has since become inactive, was self-described as “A hub for the discerning palate – those with a hunger for food, travel, fashion, and beauty.”

Meghan is a passionate foodie.

Considering her clear enthusiasm for different cuisines, it’s safe to say Meghan’s support for new cookbook Together is highly appropriate!

Furthermore, Markle has made a name for herself as a supporter in charity work and social campaigns. She is a strong champion for women’s rights, appearing in an advert for UN Women before she became a Duchess. Watch the video below:

The powerful advertisement features various women but ends with the Duchess of Sussex making notes and then walking to a podium, looking as if she is about to make a speech. The tagline then reads, “We see potential leaders everywhere. It’s time for more women to see it in themselves.

And it wasn’t just during her adult years that Markle has been outspoken on women’s rights. When she was just 11-years-old, she saw an advertisement for dish washing liquid that said, “Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans.”

She said she felt shocked and angry about the advert, and wrote letters to the company, women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred and even the then-First Lady Hillary Clinton. This resulted in the company changing the slogan from ‘women’ to ‘people.’

Power to you, Meghan!
