She may be a full-time working royal but Meghan Markle will never miss an opportunity to treat her nearest and dearest to her amazing hospitality.

Over the weekend, Duchess Meghan’s good friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin shared a fascinating snap from his recent catch-up with the soon-to-be mum – and it’s nothing short of incredible.

In the flat-lay image, which could be straight from Meghan’s now defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, Meghan’s delectable spread is displayed in all its glory complete with a hearty avo smash, chocolates and tea.

“Back to our Tig days…❤️ Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM! 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🥑🍞☕️ #foodie #foodiegram,” Daniel, who was the creative genius behind Meghan’s natural wedding day make-up, penned alongside the shot from his lunch date with the Duchess.

Yep, you read that right – Meghan is apparently the ultimate “avocado toast whisperer.”

Daniel, who had travelled from fashion week in Paris to the UK to meet his royal pal, presumably at Meghan and Prince Harry’s Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, also hinted at his catch-up with Meghan by sharing a video to his Instagram Story of the stunning countryside views from a train.

“Weekend in London with my M,” he penned.

Daniel and Meghan have been close friends since they hit it off in 2011 at the NYC up fronts for Suits.

“We just totally clicked and got along. So seven years later we’re still great friends,” he explained to 20/20 of their friendship last year.

It’s no secret the Duchess is a fan of food – before marrying into the royal family. Her former blog’s name The Tig actually stemmed from her favourite kind of wine and “a word she uses to describe moments when something really clicks into place for her.”

Indeed, the 37-year-old’s culinary talents have been well documented over the years and once mused on her blog of her love of avocados: “I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a California girl who lives by the ethos that most things can be cured with either yoga, the beach or a few avocados.”

In October during the royal tour of Australia and the Pacific, Megs won over the locals in Dubbo when she brought along homemade banana bread that she had baked herself after the long-haul flight from the UK to Australia during a farm visit.

The following month, the Duchess of Sussex released her own charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook, created with those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Now, the biggest question that remains is: how long with Daniel’s behind-the-scenes photo from his lunch with Meghan stay up on social media? Will it stand the test of time or mysteriously vanish, like the candid image of Meghan, Claire Waight Keller and British actress Rosamund Pike did after it was shared on the British Fashion Council’s Instagram page in December.

We’ll be keeping a close watch on Daniel’s page!
