Texas sure is a long way from Berkshire!

And over the weekend, Meghan Markle attended the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, to celebrate the upcoming 100th episode of legal drama Suits.

At the conference, the 35-year-old and her cast-mates participated in a script-reading demonstration of the original Suits pilot and a panel Q&A about the show.

“I think this was my audition scene,” Meghan pointed out when her character Rachel Zane explains to Mike Ross why she isn’t a lawyer.

Looking back on the early days of the show, Meghan recalled when they all used to live together near the set in Toronto.

“We were in a group email the other day, and I was saying we had all lived in the same corporate housing so on top of working together, we were living together,” she reflected fondly.

As for what scenes proved the hardest to film, the actresses noted having to film a raunchy sex scene with co-star Patrick Adams in the store room was a challenge.

“Of course that was weird,” Meghan, who opted for a stylish pink sundress, confessed.

“That was really weird,” Patrick agreed.

When it comes to her favourite scene, Meghan says it was when she and Rafferty impersonated Michelle Ross and Harriet Specter.

“That was the best… We just sort of played around with that recently.”

Meghan and her co-stars participated in a Q&A about the show.

Season 7 of the show will see Rachel try her hand at being a lawyer.

“Of course I’m so happy, especially reading the pilot again. To watch that progression, she’s worked so hard, I love that as a role model. She has really earned that spot,” Prince Harry’s partner mused.

At the event, Patrick J. Adams addressed his co-star’s relationship with Prince Harry admitting he’s never seen his friend so happy.

“Meghan and I have been such good friends for years now and to see her so happy is great. She’s super excited,” he shared.

“I’m super happy for her and she’s been such a pro in this season and it’s going so well. I’m very, very happy for her,” Patrick explained, before revealing the royal is welcome to make a cameo on the show whenever he likes.

“I’ll work on it. I’ll put in the hours. I’m sure it’s super easy and uncomplicated.”

At the conference, Meghan was also asked if she was going to marry Harry anytime soon. The star let out a smile, but didn’t answer the question.

This marks Meghan’s first public appearance since she attended Pippa Middleton’s lavish nuptials to James Matthews in Berkshire, England, last month as Prince Harry’s VIP plus one.

Since then, the loved-up couple have clocked a lot of travel miles between them with Prince Harry visiting Singapore and Sydney for royal duties while Meghan has been promoting the upcoming season of the show all over America.

As Meghan and Harry’s relationship continues to get more serious, the actress has gradually pulled back from the spotlight. In April, she shutdown her lifestyle blog The Tig and it’s also rumoured she may be considering quitting her role on Suits.
