Madonna is an undeniable icon of our time, but she’s sharing the limelight somewhat after making a very unexpected comment about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The pop singer, 61, shared a video on Instagram insisting the couple move to her digs in Manhattan, labelling their current location in Canada “boring”.
Yep, you did read that correctly.
Madonna has offered Meghan and Harry her NYC apartment in a video posted to Instagram.
(Getty)Harry and Meghan made headlines in January after they officially stepped back as senior members of the royal family, citing that they would split their time between the UK and North America, as well as becoming “financially independent”.
Since the shock news was announced, Harry and Meghan have quietly established themselves in a residence on Vancouver Island.
While the area itself seems super quaint, and perfect for the royals who are hoping to pursue a life away from the constant gaze of camera lenses, it seems Madonna isn’t a fan.
The singer owns a multi-million dollar Manhattan apartment.
(Getty)In her bizarre Instagram video, the singer says to the camera: “Don’t run off to Canada, it’s so boring there.”
She continues: “I’ll let them sublet my apartment on Central Park West. It’s two-bedroom, it’s got the best view of Manhattan. Incredible balcony. That’s going to be a winner, a deal breaker.
“No, Buckingham Palace has got nothing on CPW.”
We’ll just leave this one here for a moment.
While there certainly are advantages to living in NYC, particularly for the more ambitiously-minded, we can’t quite see Meghan and Harry settling in the city that never sleeps.
It is well understood that Harry and Meghan are seeking a life away from the hustle and bustle that their former public life entailed.
In fact, one of Harry’s close friends, Nacho Figueras, recently opened up to ABC News about the royal, saying: “He has suffered a lot from all of the things that have happened to him. He wants to live a normal life, as normal as his life is going to be right? Because when you have a thousand paparazzi outside your house in Canada waiting to get one picture of your son that’s not very, very normal.”
We’re not sure if Madonna got the memo, but we’d safely assume that the “normal” life they’re seeking is probably not going to happen in the vibrant busy hub of New York City.
Meghan and Harry are seeking a life away from the public gaze.
(Getty)That said, Madonna could have been hinging off the fact that the pair might simply pay a quick visit to the metropolitan city.
Meghan has already proved she’s a big fan, having visited several times in 2019 alone.
Last February, Meghan even hosted a lavish baby shower ahead of the birth of baby Archie for her nearest and dearest in an upscale Upper East Side apartment.

While there, it was reported the Duchess even popped into her favourite yoga class, giving attendees a right old surprise in the process.
So with this in mind, perhaps it’s not too far fetched of the legendary Madonna to offer some accommodation to the thriving royals…
