The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shown their support for Ukraine by visiting volunteers at the Cultural Ukrainian Centre, helping those at the frontlines of the war.

Catherine even paid tribute to the nation with her outfit wearing a light blue sweater tucked into black pants and both she and her husband donned Ukrainian flag pins.

While speaking to the volunteers, the royal couple revealed how their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are understanding the crisis.

“Ours have been coming home asking all about it,” said William. “They are obviously talking about it with their friends at school.”

Like many parents, the royal father-of-three added that he has had to “choose my words” and “carefully” explain what is happening.

While at the centre, William and Catherine learnt about the services provided, the donations they receive, and leant their hands to sort packages of donated items.

The Duchess even helped morale by bringing homemade brownies and granola bars from the Kensington Palace’s kitchen to thank the volunteers. Her generous gesture echoes that of her sister-in-law Meghan Markle who gave a family in Australia struggling with the droughts in Dubbo homemade banana bread to show her support.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge aren’t the only royals to show their solidarity for Ukraine.

Last week Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visited the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral and met with Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski, the Ukrainian Ambassador.

The future King and Queen lit candles, laid sunflowers (the nation’s national flower), and were gifted a sign with “Stop Putin” written on it by a child.

Camilla also moved royal watchers by hugging the Ukrainian Ambassador’s wife, Inna Prystaiko and telling her, “We are praying for you.” She then left the cathedral in tears.

The Queen also gave her support by making a “generous donation” to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal set up to aid Ukrainians by The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
