Duchess Catherine is one of the most watched women in the world.
Between her chic fashion sense and ability to be both regal as well as down-to-earth, the Duchess of Cambridge is something of a modern icon.
But even icons sometimes need to lean on their mums for help.
Carole Middleton and her husband Michael are proud parents not only to Duchess Catherine, but also to daughter Pippa and son James, although Carole’s genes are most evident in her eldest daughter.
When Kensington Palace uploaded a series of sweet photos in honour of Mother’s Day 2020 in the UK, fans were quick to comment at how much the young Carole looked like her daughter.
“Duchess Catherine looks so much like her mother!” one fan commented on the post.
“Duchess Kate looks exactly like her lovely mum,” another penned.

Both Carole and Catherine share a love of the great outdoors, health and fitness – something that Carole’s brother, Gary Goldsmith, has remarked on his personal blog.
“Carole has always looked after herself and eaten healthily, and she has a stunning figure. That mentality of considering your diet and exercise is evident in the girls also,” he revealed, referring to Catherine and younger sister Pippa.
What’s more, Duchess Catherine leans on her mother for support even as a mum herself, with a royal source telling The Sun that after the birth of Prince Louis, the Middleton matriarch was popping in and out of Kensington Palace, helping with George and Charlotte.
“Kate already has nanny Maria, who is fantastic, but Carole’s been an amazing second pair of hands,” the source explained.
