Duchess Catherine has made a glowing new appearance for a very special reason this week – despite having a difficult month after the loss of her family dog.

Sharing an update on Instagram on Monday evening, Kensington Royal posted a video of the Duchess wearing a perfect pink jumper and blazer with a special message to share.

If you cast your minds back, you might remember the Duchess launching the “5 Big Questions on the Under 5s” survey back in January.

The research expanded on Kate’s work within the early childhood space, with an aim to better the lives of younger children by providing appropriate resources and support for them and their families.

Kate began the video by saying: “Earlier this year we asked you 5 Big Questions about raising our under-fives. We wanted to hear what you think about the importance of the earliest years of our children’s lives.”

Duchess Kate launched the special survey earlier this year before the COVID-19 lockdowns.

She continued: “More than half a million of you answered that call, so we’ve taken your input and combined it with even more public research to produce the UK’s biggest ever study on the early years.

“This year has been a hugely challenging time for us all and there hasn’t been a more important time to talk about families.”

Kate confirmed that the insights will be released later this week.

Along with her gorgeous ensemble, Kate accessorised with a gold charm necklace by British jeweler Alex Monroe.

In the background, it’s also possible to make out some special images of her family, including a beautiful shot captured of Prince George for his sixth birthday last year, and another snap of Kate and Prince Louis in her Chelsea Flower Show garden creation.

It’s possible to make out some sweet photo frames taking pride of place in the background of the video.

The Cambridge family are currently grieving the loss of their beloved dog, Lupo, who passed away earlier this month.

In a statement, Kate and Wills wrote: “Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much. – W & C”

The heartbreaking loss was no doubt felt deeply by Catherine and William’s three children, George, Charlotte and Louis as well.
