James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet have been forced to put their wedding plans on hold amid the COVID-19 pandemic – but they’re not letting anything else stand in the way of their blossoming relationship.
After self-isolating together over the past five months, the pair have shared parts of their lives with the world that we’d usually never get to see.
One of those being the ridiculously cute things they do for each other.
Over the weekend, it appears one of those moments demanded documentation – with which James blissfully obliged.
Sharing a series of photos on his Instagram account, the younger brother of Duchess Catherine shared that he and Alizee had indulged in a special solo date night alongside his beloved pooches.
“Alizee and I haven’t been on a date for AGES….so I decided to surprise her with a little picnic with the dogs and a special little gift,” he wrote.
Pictures showed the pair looking cosy by a campfire, along with flowers and a picnic rug.
James and Alizee had a wholesome date night with James’ pups.
(Instagram)The royal in-law explained that he’d purchased a Bulgari piece of jewellery for Alizee in line with their current charitable promotion, whereby a portion goes toward Save The Children.
“Save the Children is an amazing UK charity doing life-saving work across the world and I’m proud to support @bulgari who have raised around $100 million for @savethechildren,” James finished.
The royal in-law also shone a light on the work of Save The Children amid the COVID-19 crisis.

“How romantic and what a lovely setting! Your happiness is such a joy to see,” wrote one fan.
Another added: “Thoughtful gift for a lovely lady! And the doggies are so cute!!”
Famed royal photographer Matt Porteous himself also added his thoughts on the photos: “Beautiful images and story James.”
James also shared another brilliant moment with Alizee back in May, when he surprised her by shaving off his signature beard.
Taking to Instagram, James revealed he would be shaving his rugged beard for the first time in seven years, before surprising Alizee with his bare face.
“As Alizee and myself were due to get married… well actually, this month. She’s never seen me without a beard, so I thought it was about time I showed her what was behind here,” James explained, before confessing he was worried his dogs wouldn’t know who he was.
He got the reaction he was looking for, it seemed.
When Alizee saw him, she leapt up in shock.
“Oh my god! So weird. Even when I kiss you it’s different,” she remarked.

And of course, we can’t forget how important James’ beloved dogs are – he and Alizee share many special moments with their furry friends.
In July, they shared an emotional update as they prepared to bid farewell to a brand new litter they had raised together.
“56 days ago you were born, 56 days of early starts, lots of poo and half eaten socks but 56 days of pure joy watching you grow. But now it’s time for you go,” wrote James.
“I am sad to see you go, and yes I might cry but it will be with happiness as each of your new homes are bursting with love. You might be scared at first, thats ok. Just be yourself and you will never understand how much happiness you will bring to your new families and all the people you meet. Make me proud, & remember to write. Lots of love.”
