Is Prince Charles getting ready to be king?

In an unorthodox move, Buckingham Palace has publicly announced backroom changes that suggest preparations are in place for Prince Charles to take over the throne.

The indication came when the Queen’s private secretary, Sir Christopher Geidt, was awarded a second knighthood for his new approach to constitutional matters and, most tellingly, the preparation for the transition to a change of reign.

“It is quite normal for the private secretary to be given two knighthoods, one from the Queen, one from the Government,” Royal Historian Hugo Vickers told UK’s Daily Mail.

“Sir Christopher’s second knighthood was from the government but to talk about transition in a citation is somewhat insensitive.”

Traditionally, the Queen would never talk about the succession but this announcement, along with the revelation that the Prince of Wales is preparing to take over the Royal Family’s media within weeks, is a firm indication her eldest son is getting ready for the biggest role of his life.

“This is the first step to bring Charles to the throne,” a royal insider told the Daily Mail.
