The gorgeous way Princess Charlotte is taking after The Queen

These two don't just look alike! It turns out Princess Charlotte has inherited a passion of her great-grandmother's too.
The Queen and Princess Charlotte

Earlier in the week, it was revealed Princess Charlotte was quite keen on soccer.

And now Duchess Catherine has confirmed her daughter has a deep love of horse riding – just like her Gan Gan!

The Queen is an avid horse rider and received her first pony at the age of four.

The mother-of-two made the revelations during a meet and greet with Olympic and Paralympic competitors at a Buckingham Palace in London this week.

The 34-year-old was speaking to equestrian triple-gold medallist Natasha Baker about her bub’s favourite new hobby.

“I asked her how the children were and she said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding which is great to hear and I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time,” said Natasha.

She also noted that Charlotte wasn’t the only young royal with a passion, explaining, “[Prince] George really enjoyed the fencing.”

“She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses, and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it,” Natasha mused.

Indeed, The Queen’s love of horses stems all the way back to her childhood.

The first ever horse she received was a Shetland Pony called Peggy at the tender age of four from her grandfather, King George V. She also breeds thoroughbreds for racing and still rides to this day!

Meanwhile, Charlotte’s cousin Zara Phillips is also an avid horse rider and has competed in the Olympics for equestrian.

With this much talent running through the blood stream there’s no doubt there’s a bright future ahead for both Charlotte and George.

Prince George is said to love fencing!
