Prince William was born royal but does that mean he is ACTUALLY wealthy?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: The Duke of Cambridge is very, very rich. And thanks to a little sleuthing we know what that is in terms of cold hard cash.

Kinda

He’s so well off that this could be his life…

^ Actually his grandma already does…

Before Prince William and Duchess Catherine welcome their third child in April 2018, fans have voiced their curiosity of their net worth.

It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact amount he’s worth, but William, his wife, Kate Middleton, and their two kids, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, definitely live a comfortable life.

First off, the 35-year-old royal made around $60,000 [approx $78, 600] per year when he served as an air ambulance pilot – though Wills hung up his pilot cap back in July 2017.

Things took a gigantic leap, for the royal in 2012.

The Telegraph reported that Prince William inherited over $11 million [approx $14.4 million] from his late mother, Princess Diana, on his 30th birthday.

Both of Diana’s sons received a large inheritance from their late mother’s estate.

However, the biggest source of William’s income is the money he receives from the Duchy of Cornwall… Not to be confused with The Duchess of Cornwall.

The Duchy of Cornwall was created back in 1337 and was designed to provide income to sons of the royal monarchy.

Currently, Prince Charles runs it, and though we don’t know exactly how much he gives to William, PopSugar believe that the heir to the thrones currently profits about $26.4 million [approx $34.5 million] a year from it.

Things will get a whole lot sweeter for the Cambridges once Charles is King, as the Duchy of Cornwall is passed down to the eldest son in the family when their parent takes the throne.

Financially speaking, the entire family are doing very well.

Right off the bat, William would be over $20 million[approx $26.2 million] richer.

Not a bad deal.

It also helps that Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge happens to come from a very well off family.

Hello net-worth… Look at you just sky rocket!

His grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, is worth a reported $500 million [approx $655 million] , while his father, Prince Charles, is worth an estimated $370 million [approx $484.7 million] .

Kate and Wills also happen to have a gold mine in the adorable form of Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

When Charlotte was just one, she had a net worth of $4.6 billion [approx $6.03 billion] , while her big brother scrapped in at an estimated $3 billion [approx $3.93 billion] .

Kate, William, if you’re in the market for another (fully-grown child) we’d like to offer ourselves as tribute!
