Duchess Catherine is going full steam ahead with all her work commitments.

She may be set to give birth to her third child in April, but that didn’t stop Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mum from filling her day to the brim.

The 36-year-old kicked off her Wednesday by heading to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The pregnant mama kicked off her royal duties by visiting Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Kate was greeted by nine-year-old patient, Ava.

Ava gave the royal mum a teddy, which she said was a “lovely present.”

The proud mum was in London to open the Mittal Children’s Medical Centre.

She started her two-outfit day wearing a vibrant red Lena dress-coat from Boden over a peach dress, teamed with brown heels.

Kensington Palace shared that Kate was welcomed to the hospital by nine-year-old patient, Ava.

The royal chatted to patients.

The fashion-forward brunette was mesmerised by Ava’s sparkly shoes.

Catherine’s visit saw the royal chat to the little kids who are currently in hospital.

Addressing the audience, Kate saidL “It’s been wonderful to meet so many families and young people. I’ve been so inspired by their bravery and courage at such a difficult time.”

It was a two-outfit day!

One young boy, four-year-old patient Rafael Chana, captured the future Queen’s attention, with the pair bonding over high-fives.

Rafael, who is waiting for a heart transplant, spoke to Kate about his favourite foods which are olives and pasta.

“I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well,” Kate revealed, adding, “Charlotte likes pasta too.”

Wimbledon whites for the royal patron.

The mum is greeted by two mini fans.

Duchess Catherine then changed gears, travelling down to Mitcham.

Stepping into her role as royal patron for Wimbledon, the soon-to-be-mum-of-three was observing the work of the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative at Bond Primary School.

Showing her finesse in transforming her look, Catherine rocked a pair of Nike Air VaporMax, with white Monreal London tuxedo track pants, teamed with a matching white zip-up jumper.

High-fives all round.

Kate shared her love of tennis with her kids.

Duchess Kate got to share her deep love for the sport, admitting that motherhood has put her time on the courts on the back-burner.

“I love tennis. I think it’s a great sport, I was really sporty when I was little, less so now that I’ve got lots of babies,” she said, patting her belly.

Her visit also saw Catherine confirm our suspicions that she and William are “very competitive”, especially when they play against each other.

Mrs Stevens, who is a teacher at the school, revealed, “She said she plays tennis with William and that they’re very competitive, but she didn’t say who wins.”

And the love of the sport has been passed on to the next generation of Cambridges.

“She said she is trying to play tennis with Prince George and said that he is enjoying some of the extra curricular clubs at school. She also said that Charlotte is enjoying nursery.”

Cuddles with Catherine.

This youngster seems very pleased with his interaction with the future Queen.

At the end of the day, the beloved royal remarked, “A big thank you from me as well because I’ve loved playing with you all – it’s so energetic and exciting to be part of it, so well done for all the hard work.”

Throwing royal protocol out the window, Kate showed off her maternal side when she gave all the little ones big cuddles instead of the usual royal handshakes.

“How delightful that it didn’t feel like royalty at a distance but royalty amongst the people,” Mrs Stevens gushed.

“I’m in awe of how down to earth and engaged she was with everyone. The children didn’t hesitate in showing her affection – that is how they are here – and she didn’t seem to mind at all.”

Adding, “I’m sure her mothering instinct came out!”
