Catherine, the Princess of Wales is reeling in the aftermath of the shock resignation of her most senior royal aide.

The news comes at a turbulent time for the former Duchess of Cambridge given the pending release of both Prince Harry’s explosive memoir Spare and two-part Netflix documentary series that promises viewers an insider look into the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to Kensington Palace, Hannah Cockburn-Logie, who has been described as Catherine’s ‘right hand woman’, has stepped down from her role as Private Secretary to her Royal Highness due to ‘personal reasons’.

Speaking on the departure, a palace source said: ”Hannah is a fantastic, dynamic leader. Loyal and a skilled diplomat.”

Prior to the role, Hannah worked as a Diplomat for the British High Commission in India, when she led the-then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s tour of India and Bhutan, impressing the royal couple so greatly that she was hired by Kate.

She then guided Catherine during many difficult years, including the departure of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from official senior royal duties, and their Caribbean tour which was met by criticism of ‘colonial overtones.’

The career woman was also hired in the position of director of The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales, of which she resigned on October 31st following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

After being hired for the prestigious position in June 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, Hannah was in charge of managing Catherine’s busy diary and social schedule. She also accompanied her on official visits and advised her, acting as the Princess of Wales’ eyes and ears on the ground.

However, Kensington Palace has been quick to find a replacement, promoting Natalie Barrows, Kate’s Assistant Private Secretary to the role in the interim.

Just last week, Natalie travelled with the royals to Boston, during their first tour of the US in eight years.

For those of you who have been dreaming of a way to work with the most famous family on earth, you are in luck!
