They might be 27 years apart, but Carole Middleton and her daughter, the Duchess of Cambridge have similar styles.

Both women are impeccably dressed and it’s obvious where Kate gets her style inspiration from.

Like mother, like daughter, the pair have been spotted wearing the same hats and dresses on occasions.

Let’s take a look back at some of the best looks from Kate and her stylish mum.

Following the birth of Prince George, many were quick to compare the outfits of Carole Middleton and her daughter Kate on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital.

During a visit to Ipswich in 2012, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing the same dress her mother Carole Middleton wore to Ascot in 2010.

Kate wore a beautiful sky blue coat to the Order of the Garter Ceremony this year, while Carole chose a similar look for her daughter’s wedding in 2011.

Kate and Carole paired a dress with a beige blazer and black heels during a visit to the Goring Hotel before the royal wedding.

Back in 2005, the Middleton ladies dressed almost the same. The photo was taken at the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park.

Carole wore a long-sleeved red dress to Pippa Middleton book launch in October 2012, while the Duchess selected a similar piece for a reception for the Dramatic Arts at Buckingham Palace earlier this year.

Kate recycled her mum’s fascinator for the wedding of Nicholas Van Cutsem and Alice Hadden-Paton. Carole wore the stylish headpiece to Royal Ascot in 2010.
