You heard it here first.

There must be something in the water at Westminster and in Britain’s royal palaces, because for the third time in as many months, high profile female politicians, as well as members of the Royal Family, have been spotted displaying their own curious interpretation of the verb “to dance” on the world stage.

First it was UK Prime Minster Theresa May who stunned the people of South Africa in August when she paid them a visit and decided to get down and dirty during a school dance display. The hilarious moment quickly went viral around the world.

Then having clearly learnt nothing in the intervening weeks (least of all something useful like say, how to dance) she did it again at a Conservative party conference in October.

The resulting crash as jaws dropped across the globe came close to causing a tsunami and in a hundred tongues, the question was clear. How can anyone be that stiff?

But now, barely a month later, the Royals have got in on the (dance) act and yet again, we can’t stop watching!

So who’s the Royal who’s been getting her groove on?

The royal mover and shaker in question is none other than Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, who’s been cutting shapes while she and Prince Charles have been on a Royal Tour of West Africa which included a visit to Ghana.

Proving she’s the life of the party, Camilla threw all caution to the wind last night at a State Dinner hosted by Ghanian president Nana Akufo-Addo and his wife Rebecca.

Allow us to save you the bother of scrolling to the top to press “play” for here once more, for your delectation and delight, is the sheer joy of Camilla Let’s Get This Party Started, Duchess of Cornwall busting out some moves.

Is it not the best?

While Prince Charles took to the dance floor in his dapper tux to spin the President’s wife around in his arms in a quick two-step, Camilla, dressed in a powder-pink long evening dress, played it far more cool with her version of daggy dancing at its best.

And we love her for it!

You can almost hear the royal couple, there for Prince Charles to receive the Order of the Star of Ghana, as they prepared for getting their groove on before the cameras – and wide-eyed astonishment – of the press.

“Really Charles? You want me to tear up the dance floor when I’ve just had dinner?”

But while May-bot had solid concrete for hips, Camilla’s dance technique was far looser with what started out as a little Mum-jig from side to side seen at every family wedding since history began, soon progressing to some serious relaaaaxed hip swaying and a side serve of random shoulder shrugs.

You’ve got to hand it to Camilla. She’s a good egg and Prince Charles’ greatest support since their marriage 13 years ago.

Daggy dancing for the win, we say!
