While 2020 isn’t exactly going to be a hard year to beat, there are many things on the agenda of 2021 that have us extremely excited.
And at the top of that list is a royal wedding.
Lady Amelia Spencer, daughter of Charles Spencer and niece of the late Princess Diana, is due to wed her childhood sweetheart of 11 years.
After more than a decade of courting, she and husband-to-be Greg Mallett are ready to tie the knot, and according to a new interview the nuptials could pay special tribute to her late aunt.
Amelia is the daughter of Diana’s brother, Charles.
(Getty)Having graced the cover for Tatler’s March issue Amelia gave her first joint interview with twin sister Lady Eliza, and spoke of her impending wedding plans.
The 28-year-old revealed she could marry at Diana’s former home, Althrop house, where her father still resides today.
“It’s our family home, it’s beautiful. We would be very lucky to get married there.”
However, it’s not the only location in contention, with Amelia admitting South Africa, where she and Eliza were raised, it also being discussed.
“Cape Town is where we grew up and there is a possibility that we might do it here, too.”
Amelia and Greg announced the news in July, 2020.

Taking to Instagram Greg shared four pictures, including one of the ring, writing: “So this was the best day of my life. 22nd of July 2020, I asked the love of my life to spend the rest of her life with me and she said YES.
“Couldn’t be happier and I love you with all my heart @ameliaspencer15.”
The couple were clearly excited!

She commented beneath the picture writing: “I couldn’t love you more. Happiest day of my life!” – along with several love-heart emojis.
Amelia’s proud father, Charles Spencer, who is Princess Diana’s brother, also shared his own well wishes for the couple.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “So happy for my daughter, Amelia, engaged to her boyfriend of 11 years, Greg – it’s wonderful to hear them both so excited about their future.
“Sending them both love, and every good wish for their life together. I love that Greg asked my blessing before proposing. Very sweet.”
