He has completed more than a decade of full-time military service and now Prince Harry will take a step back to focus on his royal responsibilities and charitable endeavours.

In March the Prince announced that he made a decision to leave the Army after coming to a “crossroad in my military career,” and today he has officially said good-bye to the armed forces.

In an official statement from Kensington Palace it was revealed that, “the Prince has had a fulfilling military career and considers it a huge honour to have served his country in the Armed Forces.”

At just 30, Prince Harry has had an impressive career, one that took him to the front line in Afghanistan twice and saw his royal roles focus more heavily on the rehabilitation of veterans.

The young royal will now head to South Africa to join the fight against elephant and rhino poachers.

The fifth-in-line to the throne’s military service is nothing short of inspiring and to honour a decade of bravery we’ve taken a look back at our favourite Captain Wales moments.
