Romance certainly isn’t dead in the Beckham household!
In a new interview with BBC Radio 4‘s Desert Island Discs segment, David Beckham has revealed he and wife Victoria Beckham have renewed their wedding vows.
“We have renewed our vows since that time. It was a lot more private with only six people,” the father-of-four explained.
His sweet revelation came off the back of the soccer star cringing at their lavish 1999 nuptials.
Posh and Becks went all out, tying the knot at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland with entertainment from Elton John, fireworks and to cap it all off – matching thrones!
Looking back on his OTT big day, the 41-year-old laughed, “That was pretty bold. Victoria’s [outfit] was pretty nice. Mine, I’m like what was I thinking? I even had a top hat in purple. What was I thinking?”
“I look like the guys out of Dumb and Dumber,” Becks teased.
Their 1999 nuptials made headlines across the world.
But their vow renewal was a much more low-key affair.
Thankfully, the power couple’s fashion only continued to improve and the pair have since become the ultimate style icons.
On July 4 this year, they’ll celebrate 18 years of marriage but David admits their relationship hasn’t come without its challenges.
“We have got strong parents too and they taught us the right values. Of course you make mistakes and we all know that marriage is difficult at times. It is about working through it,” he mused.

“We have come up against tough times. But we know each other better than anyone else knows us. And we talk.”
The couple are the proud parents of sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 11, and daughter Harper, five.
And David says it’s his four children that continue to inspire his marriage.
“Do we stay together because it is a brand? Of course not. We stay together because we love each other and because we have four amazing children,” he said.
