When Becky Miles gave her final rose to Pete Mann in the emotional Bachelorette Australia finale last week very few fans were surprised by the choice given the Octeine Coffee owner was pegged as her frontrunner from the outset.

What did shock viewers, however, was the news the very next day the couple had already split.

As more details surfaced about the breakup, the shock was only heightened.

Happiness was short-lived for the couple.

In an exclusive chat with Now To Love Becky broke down as she revealed Pete had broken things off just three days after the finale, via a FaceTime call.

“We spent about three days together and we had a lovely time. I think that’s why I was quite blindsided when he broke it off because, you know, in those moments he was saying all the right things,” Becky recalled.

“I was absolutely devastated.”

Becky thought she’d made the right choice.

Now, younger sister and fellow Bachelorette Elly Miles, has spoken about her disappointment for Becky and the way Pete handled the situation.

“I am devastated for her,” Elly told the Daily Telegraph.

“I think she just feels disappointed and I guess a little bit cheated because he wasn’t as transparent as he should have been and she could have picked the other guy and actually made a real shot at it because he was 100 per cent in.”

Elly went on to add that a lot of heartbreak could have been avoided if Pete had only been more truthful.

“He could have been more honest, that is all we asked for at the beginning of the experience,” Elly said. “I don’t think he was really in touch with himself.”

Becky’s runner-up, Adrian Baena, recently revealed he and the Bachelorette did reconnect after her split from Pete.

We’re not surprised given the level of connection the couple shared on the show, with Becky referring to him as her “heart’s choice” while Pete was her head’s choice.

Adrian and Becky couldn’t get back to what they were pre-finale.

However, the three-day curse struck again as he revealed the relationship was too far gone after everything that had happened in the finale to be rekindled.

“I went in with an open mind. What did I have to lose, nothing.”

“It was really good, we had an amazing three days together. But to be honest, it was just sad.”

The reality star compared the experience with dating an “ex girlfriend”.

“You are looking at her, and you used to have something special, but it’s just not there anymore.

“My heart wasn’t in it anymore. When she picked old mate I just took a massive step back,” he finished.
